The Carmarthen area is well known for its links to the spiritual. The magician Merlin (or Myrddin) was born in Carmarthen and his personality lends much to that of its people. Indeed Carmarthen's name is a corruption of the Welsh name for the town: Caerfyrddin, which means Merlin's (or Myrddin's) city.

The surrounding area is rich with spiritual influences, faerie woods abound and there are many stone and earthwork remains from the ancient Pagan tradition. Of course the nearby Preseli mountains were the source of the blue stones used in Stone Henge.

Today the region is home to a vibrant community of spiritual minded people, working alone or together. They benefit from the energy in the area and return their own energy and commitment to it and the rest of the world.
